Detroit: Cold Truth

If you thought vegan soft serve ice cream was never gonna happen, you’re wrong because Cold Truth is here for us.

I specifically timed my afternoon arrival into Detroit so that I could try Cold Truth as soon as they opened at 4pm. It was a super hot moment of sun in that point in my September afternoon and I swear to seitan, soft serve ice cream has never tasted so nostalgically on point. I ordered chocolate soft serve (coconut and oat based) with a peanut butter dip finished off in a coating of Oreo crumbs. 12 out of 5 stars. I loved everything about this spot.

*Pro-tip: I loved all the solidarity signage at Cold Truth – in the current state of existing, it’s really refreshing to go to vegan establishments that stand loud and proud in their standards.
